A post as much for Fellswood internal use as for you, dear reader. I always love having an easily accessible list for resources and royalty free stock photos are probably one of the more useful resource for me. I’ll update as frequently as possible. Here are some of the favorites.
Unsplash
Another great image resource is Unsplash. Easy to use website, great quality photos and a wide open license (read more here) allowing you to use the photos without much restriction at all (you can’t redistribute, that’s really it). Check out Unsplash.com.
Pixabay
Pixabay is a vibrant community of creatives, sharing royalty-free images, videos, audio and other media. All content is released by Pixabay under the Content License, which makes it safe to use without asking for permission or giving credit to the artist – even for certain commercial purposes.
Pikwizard
Pikwizard is an excellent option for free stock photos. It holds over 100,000 high-quality images, with 20,000 that are completely exclusive to the site. What makes Pikwizard stand out is its high-quality images of people, which are few and far between on the best stock photography sites. There’s also no attribution required!
Pexels
Easily searchable, very high-quality images on this, one of my favorite image websites. Pexels.com has really come a long way.
Canva Photos
Canva is super useful in many ways, especially for social media projects (you can use it to create those awesome graphics with words and cool pictures!!!). Canva also has an image search that generally results in some really gorgeous images. Check it out: Canva.com
Reshot
With a tagline like “Handpicked, non-stocky images. Yours to use as you wish.” you pretty much get the idea behind this stock image site. You can’t help but appreciate the realness of some of these search results. Refreshingly raw, beautiful and sometimes quirky. Looking for something different in stock photos. Start with Reshot.
